ORFORDVILLE—The Orfordville Fire Department will partner with local Boy Scouts to collect items during their annual food drive to donate to the Parkview Backpack Program.

Members of the fire department and Boy Scouts will collect nonperishable foods, toiletries and towels the evening of Monday, Dec. 11, according to an email from Village Clerk Sherri Waege.

Those who will not be home Monday can leave donations on their porch, Waege said. The fire department will make separate arrangements for those who cannot participate in either option Monday.

The Parkview Backpack Program allows students who lack access to food to take a backpack of food and toiletries home for the weekend, according to the email.

For more information, call the Orfordville Fire Department at 608-879-2122.
