Eileen J. Zantow, age 87, of Janesville died on Monday December 4, 2017 at Huntington Place Memory Care. She was born in Endeavor, WI on June 14, 1930, the daughter of the late William and Ida (Bartels) Radtke. Eileen graduated from Portage High School and later married Duane E. Zantow in Baraboo, WI on June 28, 1952. He predeceased her on July 25, 2013. Eileen was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church for many years and proud to be a stay at home wife, mother, and grandmother. Eileen worked part time at MacFarlane Pheasant Farm and for many years, Eileen and Duane wintered in Apache Junction, AZ. Eileen enjoyed going camping, ceramics, and trips to the casinos. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Deb Dabson of Janesville, Brian (Chris) Zantow of Milton, and Kathy (Clint) Ellefson of Milton; seven grandchildren who she was very fond of: Jeff Dabson, Jennifer (Jim) Loui, Jeremy (Jessica) Zantow, Ryan (Kristen Jones) Zantow, Duane Ellefson, Tracy (Austin) Candela, and Sherry Ellefson; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Zantow of Kenosha and Joan Zantow of Janesville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Daniel Dabson; and her siblings: George Radtke, Mildred Hahn, and Edna Koepp.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Will Jewson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Whitcomb-Lynch Funeral Home and again on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Memorials would be greatly appreciated if they were made in Eileen’s name to Agrace Hospice or Asbury United Methodist Church.
