Boys basketball roundup: Comets withstand Red Hawks' shooting barrage

Dakota Williams set a season-high with 22 points, Seth Grabow added 20, and Delavan-Darien’s boys basketball team withstood Milton’s second-half shooting barrage for a 64-57 nonconference win Monday night at Milton High.

Williams erupted for 13 points in the first half—he entered with 14 total points in three games—to help the Comets (1-3) run to a 32-15 halftime lead and their first win.

Milton (0-4) made 12 3-pointers overall, including nine during the second half, to cut the deficit. Jared Brown sank six 3s for a team-leading 18 points.

Parkview 67, Juda 65—Justin Balch scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half to help the Vikings separate from the visiting Panthers—breaking a 32-32 halftime deadlock—in a nonconference game.

Parkview improved to 3-1. Eli Hoscheit had 13 points, Aydon Campbell had 12, and Nathan Mohr and Riley Carroll each had 10.

Juda senior Keagan Haffele led all players with 28 points.
