Madison La Follette stretched a narrow lead to double digits in the final 10 minutes of the first half and went on to an 88-46 victory over visiting Janesville Parker in Big Eight Conference boys basketball action Saturday night.

Parker coach Keith Miller said his club came out and played patiently for the first nine minutes.

“Then, for whatever reason, something clicks and we want to rush and we can’t slow down and be patient,” Miller said. “La Follette does a good job of being physical and making you feel uncomfortable. We handled it well for the first nine or so minutes. We just can continue to stay patient.”

Brody Dahlke led the Vikings with three 3-pointers for nine points. Four other Vikings had six points each.

The Vikings (0-4) play host to Madison East on Tuesday night.
