Kim A. Newlin, age 67, a lifelong Janesville resident, passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1950, in Janesville, the daughter of the late Barbara J. (Hess) Ahern. She attended schools in Janesville, and was a graduate of Craig High School, Class of 1969. On Jan. 31, 1970, she married Michael J. Newlin, and they had a son, Steven. Her passions and love in her life were her home, gardening, and her family!

Kim is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mike; her beloved son, Steven P. Newlin, of Janesville; her four sisters, Kathy (Jim) Marbry, Kristy (Jody) Tollefson, Kelly Graham, all of Janesville; and Keri (Jim) Badertscher, of Marshfield, WI; her two brothers, Kevin (Cheryl) Ahern, of Spencer, IA, and Paul Maier, of Amery, WI; and by many nieces, nephews; and friends. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, John F. “Red” Ahern; her in-laws, Mary T. & Alvin R. Newlin; her grandparents, Frank & Margaret “Peg” Hess; her brothers-in-law, Johnny Newlin and Jerry Graham; her nephews, Ben Schauer and Max Wolfe; her half-brother, Jack “Jay” Rittenhouse; and her birth father, Jack J. Rittenhouse.At Kim’s request, memorial services will take place at a later date.
