Janesville police investigate shots-fired complaint at Holiday Inn Express

JANESVILLE--Janesville police are advising the public to avoid the area around the Holiday Inn Express because of a shots-fired complaint, according to a news alert.

Police currently are investigating the shots-fired complaint, which took place Tuesday inside the hotel, according to an alert released at 10:21 p.m. Tuesday.

Police have set up a command post near Wellington Place and Deerfield Drive, according to the alert, and residents should avoid the area.
