Jacob Fox was the offensive catalyst for the Edgerton boys basketball team during Tuesday's season-opening victory at Milton.

Fox scored 24 points, teammate Clayton Jenny added 18, and the Crimson Tide controlled the Red Hawks for an 80-56 nonconference win at Milton High.

The Red Hawks led 4-0 early, but Edgerton went on a 9-0 run to take the lead for good. The Crimson Tide raced out to a 44-21 halftime lead.

Fox made four 3-pointers, including three straight late in the second half. Edgerton led by as many as 28 points.

Kyle Hanauska led Milton with 12 points, while Cade Austin had 11.

Edgerton (1-0) opens Rock Valley Conference play on Nov. 30 at Beloit Turner, while Milton (0-1) is off until a home game against Reedsburg next Tuesday.
