Clown faces misdemeanor charges in groping incident
JANESVILLE—A man accused of groping two women when he was working as a haunted house clown has been charged with misdemeanor offenses in Rock County Court.
Brandon L. Goral, 43, of 3112 Crabapple Lane, Janesville, is charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault in the Oct. 23 incident.
Goral was working as a clown named Shakes at the haunted house at the Milton KOA Campground, 872 E. Highway 59, according to the criminal complaint.
Two women told investigators the clown approached them and squeezed them each once in the breast, making each feel “violated and uncomfortable,” according to the criminal complaint.
Goral told investigators that he does not touch women's breasts unless he is asked to, and that he was asked to do so by multiple females, so they could pose for pictures, according to the complaint.
Campground staff told investigators that haunted house workers were not allowed to touch customers, according to the complaint.
The maximum penalty for fourth-degree sexual assault is nine months in jail and a $10,000 fine.
