Steven R. “Bundy” Bunderson, age 61, a longtime resident of Janesville, passed away early Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. He was born August 1, 1956, in Neillsville, WI, the son of Donavan L. & LuJean M. (Smith) Bunderson. He attended school in Janesville, and was a graduate of Parker High School, Class of 1974. He attended UW Stevens Point and Milton College. On December 31, 1979, he married the former Margaret A. “Maggie” Bauer at the United Methodist Church in Edgerton. Steve worked in Sales and Delivery for Ott Schweitzer Distributors, and most recently worked for Martelle Water Treatment until his short illness with cancer led to his retirement. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Green Bay Packers. He loved to golf and play baseball and enjoyed hanging out with his family and his friends.

Steve is survived by his wife, Margaret; his two sons, Adam (Courtney) Bunderson, of Janesville, and Erik (Chelsey) Bunderson, of Stoughton; his Mom, LuJean Bunderson, of Janesville; his three beloved grandchildren: Caleb, Eloise, and Emogene; his two brothers, William (Gladys) Bunderson, of Millston, WI, and Gregory Bunderson, of Janesville; his sister, Ann M. (Andy) McGrath, of Janesville; his sister-in-law, Nancy (Charles) Bauer-King, of Racine, WI; his brother-in-law, Phil (Sarah) Bauer, of Twin Lakes, WI; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his Dad, Donavan, on February 6, 2017; and his granddaughter, Adeline Christine Bunderson.

A Memorial Service celebrating Steve’s life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Rev. Will Jewson officiating. A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. All are invited to celebrate and honor Bundy with his family at Bazinga’s, 1110 Kellogg Ave., following the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Janesville GIFTS men’s shelter.

Margaret, Adam, and Erik wish to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center, and at the Mercy Clinics for the great care and support shown to him and his family during his illness.
