EDGERTON—Edgerton police said charges are pending after a 15-year-old boy ran toward Edgerton Elementary School after someone reported an “agitated student” was “possibly making threats” Thursday afternoon.

Edgerton police said officers were called to the reported threat at Edgerton High School, 200 Elm High Drive, about 2:30 p.m. Thursday to find a 15-year-old boy who had arrived at the school, according to a news release. The male saw police arrive and ran from the high school toward Edgerton Elementary School, according to release.

Police apprehended the boy and removed him from the grounds without incident. It's not clear whether he was a student at Edgerton High School, and police have not disclosed details of the possible threats.

During the incident, the high school and elementary school were on lockdown for about 15 minutes, and police said charges in the incident are pending.
