Charles W. “Bill” Ballard, 70, of Janesville, WI, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born June 29, 1947 in Amarillo, TX, the son of Charles H. and Margaret (Moss) Ballard. Bill was a graduate of Caprock High School, Amarillo, where he was active in baseball, football and golf. He was a member of his High School Baseball team, which won the Texas State Championship. Bill married Jean Vale on August 19, 1995 in Janesville, WI. Bill was employed as a pipefitter for Nacap Corporation, where he traveled and worked in the Middle East and South America. He was a home builder for 20 years, then was employed by Home Depot before retirement. Bill was a passionate golfer, who also enjoyed photography, making stained glass, and horseback riding. He was a skilled furniture builder, avid woodworker and leather worker.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Boyle of Janesville; sons, Gary (Jody) Ballard of Beloit, WI and Michael (Jennifer) Ballard of Chicago, IL; daughter, Brandy (Christofer) Schroeder of Madison, WI; grandchildren: Victor (Gabby), Clayton, Andrea and Micco; sister, Sandra (Bob) Laubsch of Kansas City, KS; brother, Scott (Michelle) Ballard of Clearwater, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Linda; and brother, Johnny.

A Celebration of Remembrance for Bill will be held at a later date. The service date and time will be published on the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium website, or the family social media pages.
