Lake Geneva woman suspected of fourth OWI

TOWN OF LA PRAIRIE—A Lake Geneva woman was arrested Tuesday night on a charge of felony fourth-offense operating while intoxicated, according to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a report of a possible drug overdose in the area of East Avalon Road and South County J.

Deputies found a vehicle stuck in the west ditch along County J. The driver, Amie Conley, 46, of Lake Geneva, was unresponsive from a suspected opioid overdose, according to the press release.

Deputies undertook lifesaving measures until Janesville paramedics arrived. Conley was admitted to St. Mary’s Janesville Hospital, according to the press release.

A check of Conley’s driving record showed she had three prior OWI convictions, the press release states.

She was arrested on a charge of felony fourth-offense OWI and was also issued a citation for open intoxicants, according to the press release.
