Armed robbery reported on UW-Whitewater campus

WHITEWATER—UW-Whitewater police are asking for help in identifying four people wearing costume masks who reportedly committed an armed robbery on campus early Sunday morning, according to a crime alert.

Police received a report of the armed robbery, which happened between midnight and 1:30 a.m. Sunday near West Starin Road and North Prairie Street, according to the alert.

The person reporting the crime said four unidentified people in Halloween masks stole $20 from him after hitting him in the shoulder with a small wooden bat, the alert states.

The reporting person described the masks as one from the movie "Scream," a “skull with a hood,” a “Minion” and a devil, according to the alert.
