The Janesville Jets went 0-for-6 on the power play Saturday but still managed to find enough offense to extend their division lead with a 3-2 win over the Coulee Region Chill.

The Jets (10-2) struggled with the man advantage but got on the board first with Nathan Solis' second goal of the season. A penalty put Coulee (1-6-1) on the power play less than a minute after the Solis goal and Chill defenseman Marshal Plunkett tied the game at one with a wrister.

Jets forward Brenden MacLaren's team-leading sixth goal of the season closed out the first period before Plunkett added his second of the game on a breakaway to tie the game near the end of the middle frame.

The two teams traded penalties and hits through the start of the third before Erik Palmqvisk scored the game winner at 7:26 of the period.

A Jakov Novak shot deflected off of Chill goalie Emil Zetterquist and rose into the jersey of Christophe Fillion.

Zetterquist, who was peppered with 39 shots in the loss, left the crease to find the puck and Fillion fed Palmqvisk for an easy tap in goal.

Jets goalie Garrett Nieto recorded 20 saves, including some of the sprawling variety in the final minute to keep the lead. Palmqvisk led the Jets with a goal and an assist.

The two teams close the series with a 4 p.m. game today in La Crosse.
