Fairbanks scored four times in the first period and that held up in a 5-3 victory over Janesville in NAHL action Saturday night at the Janesville Ice Arena.

It was only the second loss of the season for the Jets (9-2-0-0), who still lead the second-place Ice Dogs (7-2-0-1) by two points in the Midwest Division.

Two of the four Fairbanks’ goals were on the power play.

Jakov Novak scored his team-leading fifth goal, while Kip Hoffmann had his third goal of the season for the Jets. Tanner Polglaze scored the other Janesville goal.
