Erin Donagan won two individual events in her return to the Janesville Craig swim lineup, but the Cougars fell 110-60 to the visiting Madison West Regents in a Big Eight Conference swim dual Friday night at Craig High.

Donagan, a senior, beat West’s Naomi Kissel by almost four seconds, 1:08.68 to 1:12.52, for the 100-yard breaststroke, and won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.12 seconds.

Sydney Guenthner, Donagan, Kaylee Oja and Sommer Rhodes teamed up to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:56.67.

“We had a mix of PRs and new letter times achieved tonight,” Craig coach Jonathan Hopkins said. “Like a number of other meets against tough opponents, most swimmers swam off events so it felt like a great achievement scoring 60 points against West.

“This is a good thing and should bode well for when they taper for their final meets of the season.”

The Cougars (2-5 Big Eight) are off until a conference dual at Verona on Friday.

West was led by Katrina Marty, who won the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events.
