Armed robbery reported in Edgerton late Tuesday night

EDGERTON—Edgerton police are looking for five people suspected of being involved in an armed robbery late Tuesday night, according to a news release.

Police were dispatched at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday to a report of kids running through backyards. They found a phone in the area that identified three male victims who had met a woman for a drug-related transaction, according to the release.

The woman was parked near Sterling Drive between Dorow Avenue and Dakota Street. Four other men working with her confronted the three victims and robbed them, according to the release.

The victims reported seeing firearms. The suspects fled in the vehicle, heading north on Sterling Drive, according to the release.
