Mary Sue Gallagher, age 66, of Janesville, died on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care, Janesville, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 19, 1951, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Farnum) Terrell in Sweetwater, TX. She moved to Wisconsin and graduated from Craig High School in 1969. Mary Sue attended cosmetology school in the early 70’s and worked as a hairdresser until retirement. She married Dennis Gallagher in 2001 and they lived in Arizona for many years, having just moved back to Janesville in June of this year. Mary Sue loved to travel, having been to Ireland several times and countless other places in the world where she made many happy memories with Dennis, her family and her many friends. Family was of the utmost importance to her. Of the many accomplishments in her life, her children and grandchildren were the ones she was most proud of. Whether it was attending a football game, baseball game, theatrical performance, concert or graduation, she was always their number-one fan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; two children: Laura (Michael) Schuler, and Aaron (Kim) Ehret both of Janesville; two step children: Katie (Nic) Loger, and Tim Gallagher, 12 grandchildren: Jessica, Betsy (Erin), Stephanie, Chandler, Jack, Mason, Hunter, Greta, Jackson, Henry, Finnegan, Magnolia; five siblings: Farnum (Johna) Terrell, Joseph (Anita)Terrell, Michael (Gail) Terrell, Gina (Bill Mears) Erickson, Marsha (Frank) Zornes, many adored nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
A Celebration of her life will be held from 4 p.m until 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at the SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
