Edward Allen “Mickey” McDonald died peacefully at home in Seattle, WA, at the age of 75, from progression of lymphoma. Ed was born October 11, 1941, in Janesville, WI, to Robert Alan and Reba Alice McDonald. He attended Roosevelt Middle School, Janesville High, then Purdue University, where he graduated in 1965 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. He joined Eli Lilly upon graduation. After 20 years with them in Marketing and Sales, he had a second career as an executive in entrepreneurial medical device businesses in Irvine, CA. In 1968, he married Kathleen Briscoe, M.D. They had two daughters, who remember their dad as a person who encouraged them to think for themselves, and pursue their own goals. Ed’s hobbies were boating, photography, trains, and travel.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; their daughters, Stephanie Burke, and Rebecca Kuno Scott; granddaughter, Emily Kuno, and sister, Martha Krieger.

Family burial services will be in Canton, IL, on October 8. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date in Orange County, CA
