With point producers Maddie Nelson and Izzy Smiley out with illness, Janesville Parker/Evansville went for a fun meet in a Big Eight Conference girls swimming matchup against powerful Middleton on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals prevailed 139-31, but the Vikings got some experience swimming different events.

“All the swimmers were put in event that they normally did not swim to switch it up,” Parker coach Derek Schneider said. “Knowing Middleton’s team was strong, we still put in 100 percent.

“This meet was to be a little different, get times and have some fun.”

Parker/Evansville’s best finishers were a pair of thirds earned by Taylor Seminec in the 100 butterfly and Emily Fierer in the 500 freestyle.
