ELKHORN—The Walworth County Drug Unit on Monday removed 200 marijuana plants from an undisclosed site and is still investigating the identity of the grower, according to a news release.

All the plants with proper cultivation and harvesting would have had a street value of $500,000, according to the release.

Capt. Robert Hall, who heads up the drug unit, said they would not release the location of the site because the investigation was ongoing.

The grow was discovered last month during an “aerial surveillance mission in the northern townships of the county,” according to the release.

Those with information can contact Walworth County Crime Stoppers at 262-723-2677. Texting and email options are available on the Walworth County Sheriff's Office website, co.walworth.wi.us/Sheriffs Office/Sheriff.
