Janesville woman arrested in Sunday hit-and-run crash

JANESVILLE-- The Janesville Police Department arrested a Janesville woman who confessed to a hit-and-run injury crash Sunday, according to a police news release.

Vickie Sue Loveless, 61, of 510 Texas Drive, was arrested on charges of felony hit and run involving great bodily harm, felony operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license causing great bodily harm and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, according to a news release from Janesville police.

Police on Thursday located a vehicle with damage and matching the description of the vehicle reportedly involved in the crash, according to police. Pieces from the suspected vehicle left at the scene matched the located vehicle.

The owner, Loveless, confessed to the hit-and-run crash and is being held at Rock County Jail, according to police.

The crash happened Sunday at the intersection of Kellogg and Grant avenues. The victim was listed Thursday in good condition at University Hospital in Madison with significant internal injuries, according to police.
