Intoxicated driving arrests

--DEREK M. LIEBELT, 29, of 576 Greendale Drive, Janesville, at 6:20 p.m. Friday on Highway 213 at Hafeman Road, after a one-vehicle crash.

--JOHN P. FORSYTH, 63, of 119 S. Richards St., Orfordville, at 10:55 p.m. Friday at his residence. Also cited for hit and run to an unattended vehicle after a car was struck in the parking lot of Knutes Bar & Grill, 206 E. Beloit St., Orfordville.


--COURT STREET AT OAKHILL AVENUE, JANESVILLE, at 5:44 p.m. Friday, when a pickup truck driven by Melanie C. Dunhamm 18, of 2536 Cedar Pointe Drive, Janesville, and an SUV driven by Aimee J. Wittnebel, 35, of 914 N. Fremont St., Janesville, collided in the intersection. Dunham was cited for failing to yield while turning left. Wittnebel was treated and released at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville.

--MORSE STREET AT PONTIAC DRIVE, JANESVILLE,  12:35 p.m. Saturday, when a motorcycle driven by James D. Swanson, 56, of 6219 S. Highway 51, No. 202, Janesville, and a pickup truck driven by Robert L. Jacobson, 82, of 1814 Roxbury Road, Janesville, collided. Swanson was transported for a suspected minor injury. Jacobson was cited for failure to yield while turning left into a parking lot.


--FRAUD, reported at 10:23 a.m. Friday in the town of Fulton. A resident said a flute arrived that had been ordered using a resident's credit card, but that person never ordered it.

--ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, reported at 9:48 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of South Locust Street, Janesville.

--THEFT, reported at 1:06 p.m. Sept. 4 on North County E in the town of Fulton, when a gold ring, diamond ring and cellphone, total estimated value $12,359, were taken. A suspect and the victim know each other.

--PICKUP TRUCK THEFT, reported at 2:42 a.m. Monday on West Stebbinsville Road in the town of Porter. In addition to the Chevrolet Silverado, $900 cash and a cellphone were taken by a friend who stayed overnight.


--DEREK J. VARNEY, 27, of 122 Oakwood Ave., Edgerton, charged with fleeing a traffic officer. He is accused of fleeing at speeds estimated at 100 mph on Lord Street in Edgerton early Saturday morning.



--TIMOTHY W. BARES, 52, of 6533 N. Walworth Road, Walworth, with manufacturing marijuana. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say they recovered 22 marijuana plants grown by Bares.

--DOUGLAS L. CONE, 47, of W7576 Ethelyn Drive, Delavan, with theft by false representation. The state Department of Workforce Development said Cone falsely filled out unemployment benefit forms to collect money illegally while still working. The department said Cone owes them $9,354.56, which includes penalties of $2,664 as well as other costs and fees.

--FRANCIS R. DRAKE, 47, of O'Fallon, Illinois, with identity theft by avoidance, obstructing an officer and misdemeanor theft. Delavan police say on July 2, Drake stole a purse from a woman at a Delavan bar and gave a false name to police.

--RUDOLF F. ESPARZA II, 35, of W801 Violet Road, Genoa City, with felonies of intimidation of a victim and bail jumping as well as misdemeanors of battery and disorderly conduct, the latter two with domestic abuse assessments. Bloomfield police say on Aug. 20, Esparza beat a woman he knows and threatened her if she called police.

--ZACHARY L.P. KNIGHT, 17, of W9665 Highway 14, Darien, with first-degree sexual assault of a child--sexual contact with a child under 13 years old. City of Delavan police say between June 14 and July 7, Knight had inappropriate sexual contact with a young girl he knows.

--GREGORY J. KRAWCZYK, 59, of Burlington, with physical abuse of a child and strangulation and suffocation. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say on Aug. 28, Krawczyk squeezed the wrists and neck of a teenage boy he knows.

--JUAN MORRIS III, 30, of 639 Walton Drive, Whitewater, with escape. Walworth County sheriff's deputies say Morris left his work release at the Walworth County Jail on Jan. 4 and did not return. A deputy reported Morris was picked up on a warrant in San Diego, California, on Feb. 9.

--SARAH L. NOCEK, 24, of N1776 N. Daisy Drive, Genoa City, with possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia. Bloomfield police say on May 16, they responded to the suspected heroin overdose of Nocek. Test results later showed a baggie they found with Nocek tested for the presence of heroin and acryl fentanyl, police say.

--GILBERT R. RODRIGUEZ, 36, of 609 McDowell St., Delavan, with party to theft of moveable property and obstructing an officer. Elkhorn police say between June 1 and July 25, Rodriguez and another man stole 1,050 new brass valves worth $6,079.

--OTTO C. ROSS, 53, of 532 S. Lincoln St., Elkhorn, with a repeater count of burglary. Elkhorn police say on Aug. 22, Ross stole a leaf blower from a business run by a family he used to work for.

--ADAM L. SATTERLEE, 38, of 417 W. Washington St., Delavan, with party to identity theft for financial gain. City of Delavan police say on Aug. 6, 2015, Satterlee charged $4,116 to a home improvement card in someone else's name.

--VAUGHN D. YOUNG, 28, of Lombard, Illinois, with five counts of party to identity theft for financial gain. Elkhorn police say on Oct. 20 and 21, 2016, Young cashed in $1,700 worth of fraudulently purchased gift cards.
