July 22, 1937 - September 9, 2017

DeLores Elaine (Johnson) Pagel, age 80, of Janesville, beloved wife of Ronald Pagel was called to Our Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison with her loving family by her side. She was recently diagnosed with cancer. She was born in Vernon County on July 22, 1937, the daughter of Lee and Lorraine (Schoenberger) Johnson. DeLores married Ronald Pagel on May 11, 1978. She had worked at HeadStart, Glen Oaks School and Kandu Industries for many years before retiring. She and Ron were also long time foster parents. Ron and DeLores shared many weekends traveling to their cabins, and especially enjoyed spending time with their large, loving family. She had a wonderful gift of laughter, stories, and friendship that she shared with everyone she met. Her beautiful laughter will always be remembered. They are long time members of Faith Lutheran Church and want to thank Mat Haeger from Faith Lutheran for his generous support and assistance in DeLores care and Pastor Felix Malpica for his spiritual support and guidance.

DeLores will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald Pagel; eight children: Deb (Ray) Clark, Shirley (Greg) Tilton, Kevin (Tammy) Whitney, Brian (Lori) Whitney, Tom (Pat) Whitney, Lisa (James) Loosen, Rhonda Pagel and Pamela (Jerry) Feavel; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Sharon; brother, Richard; son, Timmy; and granddaughter, Tammy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH with Pastor Felix Malpica officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Church.
