Man faces 4th OWI charge after rollover accident

TOWN OF ROCK--A Beloit man was arrested on a charge of fourth-offense intoxicated driving early Sunday morning after an accident on Highway 51 near Terrington Drive, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

James Heider, 51, Beloit, was driving a pickup truck south on the highway near the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport when the truck went off the road and rolled onto its roof, according to a news release.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene at 2:53 a.m. Janesville fire, EMS and police units also responded.

Heider was taken to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville to be evaluated before his arrest, according to the release. He also was arrested on a warrant charging theft. He was held at the Rock County Jail pending a court appearance Monday.
