Scott Steinke hit a three-run homer but it wasn’t enough to carry the Milton Junction Pub Raptors to a Rock River League playoff victory at Clyman on Saturday.

Clyman rallied from a 5-3 deficit to defeat the Raptors 7-5.

Milton hosts the Madison Rockers at 1:30 p.m. today at Schilberg Park in an elimination game. The winner plays at either Neosho or Clyman next Saturday in the double-elimination tournament.

The Raptors took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when singles by Josh Shere, Jeff Jacobson and Sam McCann loaded the bases. Shere scored on a fielder’s choice groundout.

After Clyman built a 3-1 lead, Milton rallied in the fourth. Jacobson doubled and McCann reached on an error. Andy Haney hit an RBI single, and Steinke cleared the bases with his three-run shot to put Milton on top.

Clyman rallied with two runs in each of the fourth and sixth innings, and neither team scored after that.
