Elkhorn teen pleads not guilty to sexual assault charges
ELKHORN—An Elkhorn teen pleaded not guilty this week to groping two girls and forcibly having sex with another 16-year-old girl last month.
Mitchel C. Lothes, 18, of W5258 Aweogon Trail, pleaded not guilty Monday in Walworth County Court to charges of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 16, child enticement and sexual intercourse with a child.
Elkhorn police July 14 spoke with a 14-year-old girl who said Lothes tried to inappropriately grab her and a 12-year-old girl July 10, according to a criminal complaint.
The next night, the 14-year-old girl said Lothes carried her into a bedroom and pinned her down before she kneed him off her.
On July 20, a 16-year-old girl told a Walworth County sheriff's deputy Lothes forcibly had sex with her July 17, according to the complaint.
Lothes is next due in court for a status conference at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 12.
