Elkhorn teen pleads not guilty to groping, forcing sex with younger girls
ELKHORN—An Elkhorn teen pleaded not guilty this week to groping two girls and forcibly having sex with another 16-year-old girl last month.
Mitchel C. Lothes, 18, of W5258 Aweogon Trail, pleaded not guilty Monday in Walworth County Court to charges of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 16, child enticement and sexual intercourse with a child.
Elkhorn police July 14 spoke with a 14-year-old girl who said Lothes tried to inappropriately grab her and a 12-year-old girl July 10, according to a criminal complaint. The next night, the 14-year-old girl said Lothes carried her into a bedroom and pinned her down before she kneed him off her.
On July 20, a 16-year-old girl told a Walworth County sheriff's deputy Lothes forcibly had sex with her July 17, according to the complaint.
Lothes is next due in court for a status conference at 1:15 p.m. Oct. 12.
