Ismale "Smiley" Vasquez, age 59, of Delavan, WI, died on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville after having a major heart attack. Smiley was born January 11, 1958, in Texas to Carmela and the late Reynaldo Vasquez. Smiley was an incredible friend, beloved family man and above all else an amazing father to his two daughters, Chelsea and Melissa Vasquez, and the best grandfather to Giovanni, Javion and Dominic, the boys he never had. Smiley enjoyed the simple things in life. As a self taught carpenter, you would find him working in his garage making any and everything. He loved to cook, he was everyone's go-to menudo man, and a loyal Chicago Bears fan. Smiley also loved to be surrounded by family and friends, sharing a cold one, and having a night filled with fun and laughter.

He is survived by his mother, Carmela Vasquez; two daughters, Chelsea and Melissa Vasquez; three grandchildren: Giovanni, Javion and Dominic; sisters: Mary (Odilon) Perez, Ester (Wayne) David, Estella (Roberto) Huerta, Sonja Vasquez, Carmen Valdes; brothers, Abel Vasquez, and Abelardo Vasquez; one niece; and fifteen nephews; along with great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Reynaldo Vasquez; nephews, Antonio Vasquez and Marc Coulson.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with the Rev. William Key officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Betzer Funeral Home, 118 S. 2nd. St. Delavan, WI In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Vasquez family are most appreciated.
