The Milton Raptors sealed the No. 3 playoff spot in the Rock River League playoffs with an 11-1 victory over visiting Farmington on Saturday.

Milton (11-4) will host a first-round game Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The opponent will be determined after today’s final regular-season games. The Raptors conclude the regular season with a game at Watertown today.

With the No. 3 seed on the line and a roster numbers shortage this weekend, Milton coach Doug Welch called on Tom Klawitter to start. Klawitter delivered five innings of one-run ball. Sam McCann pitched the final two innings.

McCann went 3-for-4 and Matt Fredricks went 3-for-3, including a couple of RBI, to highlight the nine-hit Raptor attack. McCann’s RBI double in the seventh ended the game because of the mercy rule.

Milton scored eight runs in the fifth inning, which was sparked by five walks. The Raptors drew 12 walks to supplement their nine hits.
