Complaint: Lake Geneva man drove drunk through stop sign

ELKHORN—Walworth County prosecutors say a Lake Geneva man charged with fourth-offense OWI failed to stop at a stop sign and got into an accident, according to a criminal complaint.

Town of Geneva police say Heriberto Perez-Garcia, 54, of N3371 Ivy Road, drove at about 6:59 p.m. July 17 at Springfield Road at County H in the town of Geneva, according to the complaint.

Perez-Garcia admitted to drinking four beers, according to the complaint. Police say he had slurred speech, difficulty keeping balance and smelled of intoxicants.

Perez-Garcia has previous OWI convictions for violations in 1994, 2004 and 2007, according to the complaint.
