WATCH: Janesville police investigate convenience story robbery

JANESVILLE—Janesville police are investigating an armed robbery early Monday morning at Five Points Mobile convenience store, 600 W. Milwaukee St., according to a department news release.

Officers were dispatched at 1:36 a.m. A robber displayed a handgun, demanded money from the store clerk and fled on foot, according to the release. No injuries were reported.

A Rock County Sheriff's Office police dog tracked the robber from the scene but the robber was not located, according to the release.

The robber is described as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 190 pounds, wearing a black or gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white shoes.

Officers were reviewing surveillance video in their ongoing investigation.
