MADISON—Police report that a Janesville woman was injured in a fight at the Majestic Theatre on Thursday night.

The 38-year-old needed “numerous” stitches to close a head wound after a battery inside the music venue, according to a news release.

The incident was reported at 10:22 p.m. at the Majestic, located at 115 King St.

“The victim was involved in a disturbance with others attending a concert,” the release states. “Words escalated into punches being thrown. The 38-year-old said a man hit her two times in the face, choked her, and pushed her to the floor. He fled before police arrived.”

The Revivalists and Ghost of Paul Revere were scheduled to play at the venue, an online schedule indicates.
