Craig, Parker gymnasts compete at sectionals
The season came to an end Thursday night for Janesville Craig and Parker’s gymnasts Thursday.
Competing in the Division 1 Mukwonago Sectional, the two city teams failed to advance any individuals to state.
The Franklin co-op team won the team title to advance, along with the runner-up Kenosha co-op team.
Craig’s Jenna Brandt was 12th in all-around for the city’s top finish.
“Obviously this was a very tough sectional with some extremely talented gymnasts,” Craig coach Jean Welch. “Unfortunately, we didn't have anyone qualify, but I am really proud of the way our girls competed. Although the score doesn't reflect it, this was our best meet of the year.”
