LeAnn Rimes to perform at 2017 Janesville Performing Arts Center gala
JANESVILLE—The Janesville Performing Arts Center, 408 S. Main St., Janesville, has announced that singer/songwriter LeAnn Rimes will headline its 2017 gala fundraiser at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 6.
Performed as an acoustic show, the concert will feature Rimes performing her greatest hits as well as singles from her new album, Remnants.
“We are incredibly excited to bring an artist of LeAnn Rimes' caliber to Janesville,” said JPAC Executive Director Nathan Burkart. “She is one of those legends that defined an era in country music.
“The ability to offer the Janesville community opportunities such as this is one of the many reasons why JPAC is such an important contributor to the quality of life for area residents.”
Rimes, who has sold more than 44 million albums worldwide, is a two-time Grammy Award winner who also has earned 12 Billboard Music Awards, two World Music Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award and one Dove Award.
In 1997, a 14-year-old Rimes won Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance to become the youngest Grammy Award winner in history. She recently signed a worldwide deal with RCA UK who released her 16th studio album, Remnants, in October.
Tickets will be available starting Friday at 10 a.m. Cost is $60 for the concert only, and a limited number of $250 tickets including a pre-show dinner and VIP seating will be available.
