Multiple people detained in town of Center meth lab bust Friday afternoon
TOWN OF CENTER—Multiple people have been detained and police are looking for one more after law enforcement busted a meth lab Friday afternoon on County A in the town of Center, Rock County sheriff's Capt. Todd Christiansen said.
Law enforcement executed a drug search warrant at the two-story red brick home at 6809 W. County A west of Janesville, Christiansen said.
Based on the evidence found at the home, Keith J. Rose, 37, was arrested on a charge of probation violation, according to a news release.
Materials lay on a tarp in front of the Drug Enforcement Administration's portable lab as team members flowed out of the house.
The federal Drug Enforcement Administration, state Division of Criminal Investigation, Rock County sheriff's SWAT team and Footville Fire and EMS were among the agencies that responded to the bust, Christiansen said.
Police were still searching for one person who was not in the house at the time of the bust, Christiansen said.
County A was blocked by the Rock County Sheriff's Office while responding agencies finished at the scene.
A crew was on the way from Chicago to clean up the remainder of the lab, Christiansen said.
