SLC boys hoops: Comets unbeaten in league play

Brandon Edmonds and Seth Kirsch helped the Delavan-Darien boys basketball team remain unbeaten in Southern Lakes Conference play Tuesday night.

Edmonds and Kirsch each scored 15 points, and the Comets held off host Waterford 55-49.

Delavan-Darien is now 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the SLC, tied at the top with Westosha Central.

Edmonds and Kirsch did most of their damage inside on a night when the team’s leading scorers were kept quiet.

•  Badger 77, Union Grove 63—The visiting rims treated the Badgers just fine, as they hit 13 3-pointers on the way to an SLC road win.

Mason DuMez (17 points) and Ian Schirtzinger (14) made four 3-pointers apiece to lead Badger’s shooting barrage.

•  Monroe 73, Milton 45—The Cheesemakers held the Red Hawks to just 18 first-half points as they cruised to victory in a Badger South Conference makeup game.

Mark Bowditch scored 19 points for Milton, while Ethan Hansing added 10.
