Homeless shelter names new manager
Community Action of Rock & Walworth Counties recently named Elizabeth Knapp as the new manager of Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless.
Knapp previously served as a case manager for Twin Oaks and is currently a case manager for Community Action's Transitional Living Program.
In her new role, Knapp will oversee operations of the 24/7 shelter, including management of staff, interns and volunteers. The shelter's services are designed to move residents toward stable housing and financial self-sufficiency. Knapp will also build community partnerships to enhance support for the shelter.
Knapp has lived in Janesville for 18 years and worked in Walworth County for three years. She has a bachelor's degree in social work, specializing in case management for children and families.
