JANESVILLE—Two men wearing black bandannas over their faces, dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and jeans attempted to burglarize Stop-N-Go, 714 Center Ave., early Monday morning, according to a Janesville Police Department news release.

According to the release, two men entered the business just before 3 a.m. Monday through a locked rear door. They were surprised to find a convenience store clerk cleaning and fled on foot.

The business was open at the time of the incident, but all doors were locked while the clerk was cleaning.
