JANESVILLE—Jim Elsberry, a local man with more than 40 years of food industry experience, on Friday is launching his new restaurant, Frankie's Supper Club.

The Frank Sinatra-inspired, “Rat Pack”-themed diner at 12 S. Main St. opens at 5 p.m. with the bar opening at 4 p.m.

The grand opening will feature giveaways of dinners for two. Free hors d'oeuvres and drink specials will be available.

The restaurant is a traditional supper club, which means fish fries on Fridays, prime rib Saturday evenings and brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays, Elsberry said.

The bar will offer 30 types of martinis.

Elsberry has been the executive chef for major hotels in Chicago; Rockford, Illinois; Milwaukee; and Madison, he said. He owns Pit Stop BBQ & Deli and the Elsberry Edibles catering.
