Walco Fairest of the Fair picked

ELKHORN—Emily Watson of Elkhorn was crowned Fairest of the Fair at a ceremony Sunday at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.  

Watson, 22, was a member of Sugar Creek and Elkhorn 4-H Club for 11 years and was a member of the Elkhorn FFA for eight.

While in FFA, she was chairwoman for a variety of committees and served as secretary, treasurer and vice president. She also served as the state vice president from June 2012 to 2013.  During that year, she traveled more than 285 days, attending workshops, teaching classes, giving speeches and advocating for agriculture.

Watson hopes to major in ag education and ag communications and hopes to teach school in southwestern Wisconsin.

Watson will start her reign as Fairest of the Fair next June.

Watson's parents are Nathan and Diane Watson, Elkhorn.

Morgan Henriott, 19, Elkhorn, was runner up and will serve as “royalty.”

Henriott is the daughter of Jim and Darcie Henriott.
