Janesville Parker collected its first Big Eight Conference girls tennis victory of the season with a 7-0 sweep of visiting Beloit Memorial.

The Vikings improved to 1-2 after losing to Craig 5-2 on Thursday.

“I know coming off that loss to Craig that the girls were anxious to get back on the court,” Parker coach Justin Long said. “They played very, very well.”

Long said the Vikings applied what they had emphasized in practice such as attacking the net and putting balls away when they had a chance.

The Vikings will host Verona on Thursday.
