Community members contributed more than $35,000 to benefit Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless and WC Resource Center & Food Pantry at the 16th annual FORE! Golf Outing on Aug. 11 at Geneva National Golf Club.

Proceeds from the event provide direct program support for the two organizations, which benefit low-income families in Walworth County.

Special thanks to the event's Platinum Sponsor, Kunes Country Auto Group; Golden Tee Sponsors: BMO Harris Bank, Gene and Judy Decker, the Golden and Keenan families, Jorndt Builders, JAS Marketing, Jorndt Fahey Remodeling and Sierra Insurance; and Hole Sponsors: Cary and Maureen Berkowitz, Community Action, Crestwood Associates, Geneva Lakes Women's Association, HNI Insurance, Kay Kearns, Liz and Ron Eckert, Margaret Bellock, Margaret Downing, Mark and Linda Nordenberg, Mary Kilkenny-Keefe Real Estate, Peg and Jim Isherwood, Peoples Bank, Rhyme, Security Insurance and Stinebrinks.

The golf outing is also possible thanks to numerous volunteers and contributors.

Every year, Twin Oaks Shelter helps 70 families and 175 individuals transition back to stable housing. Seventy percent of shelter residents achieve that goal after leaving the program. WC Pantry provides more than 500 local families with food each month.
