State to host open government seminars
MADISON—Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen invites the public and government officials to register for the Department of Justice seminars on public records and open meetings laws.
Online registration begins Tuesday, Sept. 2 on the department's website at www.doj.state.wi.us. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
The sessions are:
-- 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Oct. 17, at the American Family Training Center–Auditorium, Building A, 6000 American Family Drive, Madison.
-- 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 27, at Waukesha County Technical College–Richard T. Anderson Education Center, 800 Main Street, Pewaukee.
A webinar presentation online will be offered in two parts Thursday, Nov. 6:
-- 9 to 10:30 a.m. Open Meetings Law.
-- 1 to 2:30 p.m. Public Records Law.
Each 90-minute webinar session will be followed by a question and answer period.
