Milton police arrest two teens in connection with thefts
MILTON — The Milton Police Department arrested two 16-year-old boys early Wednesday on suspicion they entered into or tried to enter about 30 vehicles.
Police said the boys entered two cars, taking cell phones from the vehicles. They entered eight other vehicles and took nothing. They tried to enter other vehicles, but they were locked, according to a Milton police news release.
They were arrested about 3 a.m. after a resident saw them trying to enter vehicles.
The boys were in a vehicle when they were pulled over by police, who reported finding stolen items in the car. They confessed to the crimes, according to the release.
The vehicles the juveniles entered or attempted to enter were on Merchant Row, Crandall Street, Second Street, Rogers Street and Tower Hill Drive. The vehicles were located on the street, in driveways and in an alley, according to the release.
Police recommend residents remove all valuables and lock their vehicle doors.
