Intoxicated driving arrests

-- LONNIE J. KOHLER, 34, of 1609 W. Main St., Sun Prairie, at 4:02 a.m. Sunday at 2299 Browning Drive and Greenwood Drive, Janesville.


-- FRAUD reported at 4:06 p.m. Monday at 1795 W. Crystal Drive, Edgerton. Adam Wagner, 38, told police an unknown suspect used his Social Security number without his permission. Wagner claimed he started receiving letters from debt collectors, including one claiming he owed the $1,514 to the U.S. Department of Education, according to a police report.

-- STOLEN VEHICLE reported at 12:46 p.m. Sunday at 1315 Laramie Lane, No. 2, Janesville. David K. Mahlkuch, 50, reported his girlfriend's son, Jess A. Hurley, 36, sold Mahlkuch's truck without his permission. Upon investigation, police discovered the truck was reported stolen in Chicago in 2012, according to the police report. The Janesville Police Department is investigating with the Chicago Police Department.

-- COUNTERFEITING reported at 5:04 p.m. Monday at Perkin's restaurant, 3315 Milton Ave. An employee told police someone tried to buy food with a counterfeit $100 bill.

-- ESCAPE reported at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Rock County Sheriff's Office, 200 E. Highway 14. Kenneth D. Williamson, 44, of 2323 N. Claremont Drive, Janesville, failed to report to jail Friday for a 90-day and concurrent 180-day sentence for domestic disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Injury accidents

-- 735 N. RINGOLD ST., Janesville, at 3:51 a.m. Sunday. Police responded to a report of a car flipped onto its roof. Officers found Lauren A. Erstad, 23, of 88 S. Pontiac Drive, Janesville, inside without serious injuries. She was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville, before being released to a responsible party. Police cited her for drunken driving, second offense.


-- MIRANDA L. MCSHERRY, 37, of 3920 Dorchester Drive, Janesville, charged with arson to property other than a building and domestic abuse. She is accused of burning the clothing of a man she knows July 19 in a fire 10 feet from her residence. She told police she was burning his clothing because he had an affair with another woman, according to the criminal complaint.

-- NICHOLAS J. PHARO, 37, of Brooklyn, charged with driving while intoxicated, fifth offense. He is accused of driving drunk around 2:05 a.m. on Main and Madison streets in Evansville.

-- DAVID A. FRYE, 53, of Kenosha, charged with false imprisonment, attempted strangulation and battery, all as acts of domestic abuse, in connection with an incident involving a woman he knows the afternoon of July 26 at The Prime Quarter, 1900 Humes Road, Janesville.
