John L. Fisher, 78, of Milton, passed away late Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Huntington Place, Janesville. John was born on Feb. 10, 1936, in Reedsburg, WI, to the late Merton Russell and Esther Marie (Koerth) Fisher. He attended Baraboo High School and graduated in 1954. John would marry Constance “Connie” Ramsey on May 10, 1958, in Baraboo, WI. He was a member of the Army National Guard, lifetime member of North American Hunting Club and National Rifle Association. He worked at General Motors for 31 years, retiring on April 1, 1997. He was very active in the Boy Scouts made it into the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of the Milton Snowriders, the Local UAW #95, and loved to trap shoot, hunt, and watch the Packers.

John is survived by his wife, Connie Fisher of Milton; children; Susan Fisher of Milton, Ricky (Michelle) Fisher of Omaha, NE; son-in-law, Scott Wentler of Edgerton, WI; grandchildren: Daniel (Bit) Huberd, Stephanie Vergenz, Cassie (Michael) Singleton, Chelsea Fisher, Olivia Fisher, Camryn Fisher; great-grandchildren: Chloe Moore and Jonathan Singleton; brother, Donald (Sherry) Fisher of New London, WI; sister, Joyce (Kenneth) Alt of Baraboo, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shirley Wentler; granddaughter, Michelle Huberd.

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at ROCK PRAIRIE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. Burial will follow at Rock River Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the CHURCH from 10:30 AM until the start of the service. ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, MILTON are assisting the family with arrangements.
