Errors doomed the Beloit Snappers late in a game at Wisconsin on Monday.

The Snappers piled up five errors that led to five unearned runs in a 7-3 loss to the Timber Rattlers in Midwest League baseball action.

After giving up three runs—one earned—in the bottom of the sixth inning, Beloit catcher Josh Ludy hit a home run to tie the game, 3-3.

But Wisconsin got an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh and three more—one earned—runs in the eighth to pull away.

Ryan Mathews went 2-for-3 for the Snappers, including a double and his 12th home run.

The two teams play again this afternoon.
