— DANIE G. CORKHILL, 24, 2317 Center Ave., Janesville, at 1:28 p.m. Friday at his home on charges of disorderly conduct, strangulation and domestic violence.
— CHILD ABUSE reported at 6:53 p.m. Friday in the 2700 block of West Wall Street, Janesville. A woman reported her son had been beaten with a belt by his father, who does not live here. Police took photos of injuries and the mother was told to contact the jurisdiction where the suspect lives.
— BURGLARY reported at 11:18 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Drake Street, Janesville. A stereo and speaker were stolen from the garage.
— VANDALISM reported at 7:43 a.m. Saturday on the Craig High School practice field, 401 S. Randall Ave., Janesville, after a police officer on patrol found a football goal post down.
— FRAUD reported at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Janesville Police Department, 18 N. Jackson St. The victim reported someone was using her name, date of birth and Social Security number to receive benefits. An investigation continues.
— LIGHTNING STRIKE reported at 1:25 p.m. Saturday at 4331 W. County A, Janesville. Lightning hit a tree, passed through its root and into an AT&T phone pedestal 100 feet away. Upon arrival firefighters put out the fire that burned connections in the pedestal. AT&T was notified. No damage estimates were available.
