Donna Jean (Anderson) Stanek passed away on Aug. 10th, 2014. She was born in Richland Center, WI, on Nov. 1, 1929, the daughter of Fredrich and Lorena Loretta (Borchardt) Anderson. She married Wesley George Stanek April 11, 1948. Right around 1956, Donna and Wesley moved to Janesville, WI, to raise their children She started as a copy writer for the Janesville Gazette and worked for the paper for several years. Later, she would finish her years in Janesville, working for the Veterans Service office of Rock County. Moving to CA in 1985, they moved in with their daughter and her husband, Vicki and Bruno, then living in San Mateo, CA. She and Wes bought a home in Tracy, and Oakley, and finally settled in Rocklin, to be closer to Vicki and Bruno in Granite Bay. Much of her time in CA, was spent taking care of the grandchildren and baking chocolate chip cookies. She was a supportive Grandmother who could be counted on to help out when asked and to always be there with a pizza or treats for the kids. She and Wesley lived in Rocklin, until 2000, when they returned to WI, where Wesley passed away. Being alone, Donna returned to CA, and to be with her grandchildren. She resided at The Terraces of Roseville, and The Palms of Emeritus. She was known for her friendly smile and willingness to always cooperate with everyone she met. We will miss her very much.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Merlyn Lynn Anderson; her niece, Dianne Dawn Rudersdorf; her nephew, Dennis Fredrich Anderson; a long time companion, Robert Maier; her son-in-law, Greg Hoover; and her husband, Wesley George Stanek of Yuba, WI.
